The key to the success of our investment strategies has been the development of our risk-management framework. Our risk objectives are entwined with our performance goals. We seek to optimize trade-offs to ensure that we meet our return objectives, control the volatility of these returns, track underlying liquidity and identify and manage macro-factor risk.

Investment Manager

CATCo Investment Management Ltd. is a Bermuda limited liability company. The Investment Manager has been retained by our Reinsurance Fund(s) to manage and invest the their capital.

Reinsurance Company

CATCo-Re Ltd. is a Bermuda licensed Class 3 reinsurance company through which our investment funds access all of their reinsurance risk exposures. The Reinsurer, in turn, seeks exposure to reinsurance risks in several manners, including by directly facing ceding companies or utilizing a rated fronting reinsurer that itself will directly face ceding companies. CATCo-Re Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Collateralised Reinsurance Investment Funds

The Investment Manager has developed a number of investment Funds to allow Investors access to a quantitatively selected mix of catastrophe reinsurance risks, accessed through our Reinsurance Company.
